Brandon Lucas is the new Head Athletic Trainer for Napa Valley College. A native of Vallejo, Calif. Brandon knew right away that his love for sports would drive him to a career working with athletes.
Brandon graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training from California State University, Sacramento in 2012. He later continued his education achieved a Masters Degree in Kinesiology with the emphasis in Exercise Science: Health and Wellness Promotion.
Brandon brings a plethora of Athletic Training experience and has already been familiar with the Storm Athletics Staff. Starting in 2013, Brandon was the Assistant Athletic Director, Head Athletic Trainer, and Sports Information Director for Pacific Union College a four year college up the Valley in Angwin, Calif. that competes in the NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) in the CAL PAC Conference. While working at Pacific Union College he was also the lead assistant athletic trainer at Napa Valley College under the now former Head Athletic Trainer Melissa Grubbs. Brandon has also spent time working with youth sport organizations in soccer and lacrosse such as the Sacramento United, Davis, and the NCJLA (Northern California Junior Lacrosse Association). Lastly, he was also the Head Athletic Trainer for the Napa Silverado’s from the Pacific Association of Professional Baseball Clubs.
